Kolo Medical Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Design Engineer. The prospective candidate will play a lead technical role in designing and implementing the software for a medical ultrasound system. In this role he/she will be collaborating closely with the system engineering and clinical teams.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for all aspects of software development of a modern medical ultrasound imaging system including design input, specification, architecture design and verification.

2. Develop the UI software.

3. Develop the image processing and display software.

4. Develop the software development process for the software team.

5. Work with systems and probe engineers to design the data acquisition image reconstruction and UX/UI architecture.

Position Requirment

Minimum Qualifications

1. BS in CS or related field

2. 5+ years of experience in software development.

3. Strong knowledge of C++ and object oriented programming.

4. Experience with GPU programming (CUDA or OpenCL)

5. Experience with programming environment tools and IDEs such as Visual Studio or Eclipse.

6. Experience with UX design and modern UI graphics frameworks including Qt, WPF, OpenGL etc.

7. Experience with open source toolsets such as Git and Jira, and software test automation tools and techniques

8. Experience with multithreading and networking.

9. Experience in developing real-time embedded software for ultrasound imaging systems is a big plus.

10. Demonstrated ability to work and thrive in multi-project environment.

11. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

1. MS. in CS or related field

2. 10+ years of experience in software development and architecture design.

3. Experience with designing software in an FDA or other regulated industry environment.

4. Experience in medical imaging product design.

Imaging System Engineer R&D Dept

Job Description

Kolo Medical Inc. is seeking an Imaging System Engineer. The prospective engineer will develop various imaging modes and technology for medical ultrasound imaging systems, and the prospect engineer will collaborate closely with CMUT design team to improve existing CMUT probes and develop next generation CMUT probes.

Responsibilitie

1. Responsible for integrating CMUT probes with various imaging systems

2. Develop ultrasound imaging modes and methods to evaluate different probes

3. Implement DSP and image processing algorithms in Matlab and C/C++

4. Use simulation tools to model ultrasound imaging systems, CMUT transducers, and softtissues

5. Work with CMUT design team to optimize and improve CMUT probes

6. Work with sonographers and physicians for clinical evaluations and validations

Position Requirment

Minimum Qualifications

1. BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

2. 2 years of experience in development of signal and image processing algorithms

3. Demonstrated ability to work and thrive in a multi-project, multi-deadline environment

4. Demonstrated analytical, written, and oral communications skills

5. Experience with programming Matlab and Labview

Preferred Qualifications

1. MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent

2. 5 years of experience in development of medical ultrasound imaging systems

3. Extended experience in designing and modeling ultrasound imaging systems and transducers

4. Strong background in acoustic wave propagation, coherent imaging systems, synthetic aperture imaging, harmonic imaging, elastography, Doppler imaging, and beam formation

5. Experience in developing advanced imaging technology including 1.5D and 2D modes

6. Proficient in C/C++

Senior Hardware Design Engineer R&D Dept

Job Description

Kolo Medical Inc. is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer. The prospective candidate will be developing various hardware components and technology for medical ultrasound probes and medical systems. In this role the engineer will be collaborating closely with CMUT probe design and imaging system engineers to develop the next generation of CMUT based ultrasound transducer and system products.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for all aspects of board and system level design including design input, specification, architecture design and verification.

2. Responsible for circuit analysis, schematics capture, PCB layout, simulation and component selection.

3. Familiar with PCB fabrication process and standard；

4. Develop system and board level validation and verification plan to ensure that the product meets electrical and engineering specifications.

5. Work with mechanical engineer to design product enclosure and cross check with electrical designs.

6. Support manufacturing and field service needed on various issues.

Position Requirment

Minimum Qualifications

1. BS in EE or related field

2. 5+ years of experience in system/board level design.

3. Strong knowledge on at least one electrical EDA tool (Protel, Orcad, PADS or Allegro)

4. Hands-on experience with lab test equipment and electrical rework tools

5. Knowledge on FPGA coding such as Verilog or VHDL is a big plus.

6. Knowledge on embedded coding such as MCU and/or ARM processor is a big plus

7. Demonstrated ability to work and thrive in multi-project environment.

8. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.

1. MS or Ph.D. in EE or related field

2. 10+ years of experience in system/board level design.

3. Experience in medical imaging product design.

4. Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging or radar systems.
